Joe Fiorini posted Refactoring Ruby
I'd love to work with some other Ruby devs during downtime at this conference. I've been thinking for awhile that we as developers would benefit from some good refactoring tools. Currently, this is something missing from the best editors (Vim, Emacs, TextMate - if you dislike IDEs you don't get refactoring). I'd love to work on a refactoring library written in Ruby that can then be consumed by plugins for the major editors. If you enjoy or ...... [read more]

Joe Fiorini posted Conference Projects
I'm very excited for this conference. I'm interested in hooking up with some devs to work on an open source project (I'm sure others are too) Is there a good avenue for getting people together like this?

Will Koffel posted Shape My Talk
Hey folks. I'm busy procrastinating....uhh...."iterating agilely" on my "Sinful Ruby" talk for Wednesday afternoon. http://www.voicesthatmatter.com/ruby2... If anyone has particular questions in advance that might help inform my talk, post them here. Looking forward to seeing everyone, happy to have a Ruby conference in Boston!
Carlisia Campos: Hi Will, It's great that you're asking that! I'm thinking of some additional juicy stuff. For example, what compromises did you have to make for projects to be successful, constraints you had to impose, things you had to do that you didn't want to; major factors that contributed to your success; what sources did you rely on to make decisions, how much of it was trial and error. All the best, -=-Carlisia

Tony Stubblebine posted Networking Tips

If you've never used a social network at a conference (or even if you have) here are four tips for making the most of it. 1. Find people you want to meet You can search, you can browse by tag, or you can browse other people's contacts. 2. Make yourself visible Use ...... [read more]
